So, I just realized that all of my favorite pictures of the Cliffs of Moher got lost in the formatting fluster cluck of my last post! So, here they are, in all their floral glory.

The Cliffs of Moher. Why that rhymes with whore!
So, this past weekend three lovely ladies and I traveled across the country to Galway and County Claire. Galway is another port town on the western coast of Ireland. It meets the atlantic ocean and is the "gateway to the USA." Although its large for an Irish city, it's actually quite small on the Maura city scale standards. We stayed in a B&B. The woman running it was adorable and so sweet to us... even though she charged us 2x as much as we anticipated!
Anyway, we wandered the town, thought about buying jewelry (yet again) and instead bought postcards. We took a bus tour of the Burren (Burn) in Co. Claire which was as beautiful as ever. It's a landscape that is like a patchwork quilt of rock formations with wild flowers springing out of the seams. The Cliffs of Moher seemed to be a thousand times more jaw dropping the second time I saw them. And of course, you cant visit them without getting obsessed with the puffins that live there! That day was a typical example of Irish weather, seeing as the morning was overcast with nasty spitting rain and the afternoon cleared up and went from cloudy to sunny.
There was also a very odd phenomenon in the Burren. I kept seeing hipsters wandering around in the middle of nowhere! There was a girl strolling by a sheep pasture with a red robyn haircut, wayfarers, a black peacoat, knee high hunters boots, thy high socks, a red scarf and an old film camera. And then a half an hour later, I noticed hipster girl's male equivalent on another abandoned road. It was utterly bazar and I am so sad I didn't get photos of either of them! There must have been a "Come on hipsters, get grungy with the sheep!" convention somewhere. But whatever the case, if you ever make your way to the Burren, look out for the wandering hipsters.
Going to Galway for the weekend was really refreshing. But when we came back I felt like I was actually going home to a place where I sort of knew my way around. Leaving Dublin only made me realize how much I love this city!
PS. sorry the formatting on this post is bonkers! Just keep scrolling. Theres more pictures, I promise!
Let's begin.
This is a good example of the crazy weather. |

Dun Dunna Dun Dun! Dun Laoghaire!
Last weekend my friend Emma and I galavanted over to Dun Laoghaire. We went to the farmers market, thought about buying jewelry, bought hot apple cider and whisky instead and I ate 1/2 of 1/4 of a roticary chicken. We walked up the coast to the James Joyce tower, where he lived on the sea side in a round tower while he wrote Ulysses. It was overcast, but the clouds were so beautiful and created such interesting swirls of light, blue gray and white, in the sky. A couple of times a ray of light would shine through a divide in the clouds and reflect onto the ocean water, and thats when I realized just why people write love poems to this country.
So, let's begin in Back and White.

Dun Laoghaire ... this once was a resort beach, but then it got decrepit and no one ever fixed it.
The Water In the Irish sea is so clear! So different from the pacific ocean...

The Joyce tower! That man lived in there!!! what a crazy nut.
| So... I obviously love this composition. Seeing as I basically took the same picture of my Dad 2 years ago. |
I'm real good at taking pictures. I love this lovely hair shot.
